Elemental Masters
Honing a skill with art and beauty
Elemental Powers
Rootling lumesse magic allows them small amounts of control over fire, water, lightning, wind, and so forth. However, some rootlings are more attuned to certain elements over others, and they may choose to dive deeper into the art of learning it. Rootlings who study a specific element will gain increasingly more power over it with time, and with more power it can utilize the element in more ways. A rootling might start off by creating a gentle breeze through a wheat field, or a rippling in a pond, but as its power grows it will accomplish more. A swan might dance with a ribbon of water to perform a coronation, and a bear might charge an enemy with rolling balls of fire. The possibilities are endless.

You are responsible for tracking the building up of an elemental with your rootling. You must keep track of how many levels you have completed, and how much power is available through them. These prompts should be properly labeled in your tracker.
Rules for Elemental Level Climbing:
- Works made for the raising of elemental levels should be illustrative (storytelling scenes) with a background and color.
- If anyone would like to gift level raising artworks to a rootling, that rootling should have a note on its tracker stating gifts are allowed. Some players will want to complete the levels entirely independently, so it is important to leave permission for gifting if you want it.
- It is acceptable for level raising artworks to be commissioned. If a rootling reaches mastery level, then it is also permitted to teach other rootlings, and this teaching may be commissioned by the owner of an elemental master.
Elemental Prompts & Tiers these score the quests & trials bonus of 15LP per submission
- Level 1 - Dabbler | The rootling has been practicing with this element through the course of at least three works of art. The rootling may have been portrayed being surrounded by the element, spending time observing it, playing with it, or another entry level activity.
- Level 2 - Apprentice | The rootling and the elemental have become accustomed to each other. The rootling has a small amount of manipulation over the element. It may be able to raise a glob of water into the air, or control the rate of a fire's burn. The rootling must spend time practicing these skills, like strengthening a new muscle. The apprentice level must be portrayed in at least four works of art to progress.
- Level 3 - Mage | Strength has increased dramatically from much practice, and the rootling now has a moderate amount of control over the element. It can now use this element in the performance of coronations or temple-births. It may begin battling with the element. The Mage stage should be presented throughout at least five works of art to progress.
- Level 4 - Master | Full power and control have been achieved through repetitive hard work. The player may invent new ways for an elemental to be used so long as it aligns with the ARPG's world. The rootling may now manifest that element out of thin air whenever it pleases.
Players use the honors system to decide when you have followed the guide and earned your elemental level. There is no limit on how many elementals a rootling can master, but you may want to log them somewhere, or update their bestiary art to display them.
